First worn in 1999 by John Cahill of UMass/Lowell, who in 2001 was signed as a non-drafted free agent by the Anaheim Angels. Johnny Adams of Boston College, who wore it in 2014, was selected in the 22nd round of the 2017 MLB draft by the Seattle Mariners.
