Uniform & Team History

Champions of the Class B Florida International League. It's been said that their biggest fan was a fellow named Fidel Castro.

Oldtime Game History

Former Temple University baseball player Chris Collins, now a sportscaster with NECN, was wearing this uniform in 2002 when he faced his good friend Jim Corsi, the former Red Sox pitcher, in a much-publicized grudge match. Collins, who vowed to make contact, did just that: He grounded out. In 2005, it was worn by Los Angeles Dodgers media relations director Mark Rogoff, who had been a high school baseball star in San Diego. Rogoff is now media relations director of the Washington Nationals.

Also worn by:

Ron McGann, Holy Cross ('98); Alfredo Nunez, University of Maine ('00); Adam McCusker, University of Massachusetts, Lowell ('01); Bob Kenny, Tufts University ('03); Billy Watkins, Franklin Pierce College ('04); Jon Morse, University of Southern New Hampshire ('06); Sam Whelan, Babson College ('07); Geury Alonzo, Salem State College '08).
