Playing in the Texas League, the ’22 Spudders won 22 consecutive games. The Spudders’ Homer Summa, who would go on to play 10 seasons in the majors, led the league in hitting with a .362 average.

Oldtime Game History

Introduced to the Oldtime Baseball Game in 2009, it was first worn by Matt Watson of Boston College. Watson became just the second player in The Game whose father had played in it before him. Frank Watson played in the 1997 Game, hitting a home run.
