Uniform & Team History: In honor of the late Ray Chapman. Chapman was one of the great-fielding shorts-stops of his era. On August 16, 1920, he was hit by a pitch thrown by Carl Mays of the Yankees and died the next day, making him the only player in big-league history to die as a result of a game injury.

Oldtime Game History:

In 1994, Chad Konecky of School Sports Magazine was the first batter in the first inning of the first Oldtime Baseball Game. He made a return appearance to The Game in 2000, wearing this uniform.
